General Pest Treatment

General pest treatments specifically target spiders, ants and cockroaches. We recommend a general pest control treatment is completed every 12 months at minimum to keep these pests at bay. However, sometimes an extra treatment is required to completely banish them. That’s why we have a comprehensive warranty on our service.

Spiders

There are many spider species found on the Gold Coast, Brisbane and Northern NSW, some that are harmless that help with the control of insect pests around the home, and some that are much scarier and potentially harmful. Our general pest treatment which we recommend to be completed every 6-12 months, helps to keep spiders under control. There are also practical solutions to keep spiders from coming inside, for example, covering gaps and holes. Our technician can make recommendations for your unique property.

Cockroaches

Cockroaches are a fast multiplying pest that carry harmful bacteria, leave odours and can cause significant damage to electrical appliances. They have also been known to cause allergic reactions and asthma attacks. They love to hide during the day as they are nocturnal insects and they are usually where you least expect them (Dishwasher cavities, toaster and under the fridge). They can be hard to eradicate once there is an infestation. We use a combination of treatments including liquid sprays, baiting gels and insecticide dusts depending on the type of cockroach and the level of infestation.

Specific Pest Treatments

While we are carrying out a general pest control treatment, you can let us know if you require a specific pest treatment. Specific pests we treat include rodents (rats and mice), wasps, fleas, bed bugs, mosquitos, german cockroaches, silverfish and of course, termites.

Rodents - Rats & Mice

There are 60 native rodents in Australia but the rodents that cause the most nuisance to residential, commercial and industrial are all introduced. Here on the Gold Coast, Brisbane and Northern NSW, the Roof Rat, Norway/Sewer Rat and House Mouse can cause major issues. This can include food spoilage and contamination, physical damage from gnawing and diseases spread to people. There are many non-chemical solutions to rodent prevention including keeping kitchens clean at night, keeping pet food in solid tight containers, and much more. Our technician can help inform you of these solutions and then also provide a baiting treatment to eradicate any rodents that have taken harbourage in your residential or commercial property.

Wasps

There are 35 native wasp species around Australia and they are important for our eco system. They can also keep pest insects at bay around the home. But the Paper Wasp can be aggressive and tend to create their nests around homes and offices. They create comb like nests and are territorial around the nest which can mean they may sting someone if they get too close. There is also the Mud and Potter Wasps that setup their nests around homes and offices but they are not aggressive. We can offer a service to treat the wasps nests.

Fleas

Fleas can be an issue not only for your pets but also for any persons living or working in the area. Fleas can reproduce and spread rapidly which isn’t ideal as once there is an infestation, they are difficult to control. They can be found in carpet and furniture as well as pet areas. It is best to contact a professional pest technician as soon as possible if you suspect fleas but they can also stay dormant for up to 10 months so prevention can be key. Our technician will talk you through these suggestions so you can stop an infestation from getting out of control in the future.

Bed Bugs

Bed Bugs have been known as nocturnal blood suckers. They can spread easily and can cause illness’ and allergies. They are well known as pests in hostels, backpackers, motels etc as well as our homes. It can be quite difficult to eradicate these pests due to their tight hiding spaces (cracks and crevices in mattresses, coils of springs and upholstery in chairs etc.) and hitchhiking abilities (spreading fast).
